Freeman Nursing Award
Freeman
Nurse Scholars Award is a scholarship program for outstanding nursing
students who wish to practice in Vermont following graduation.
Eligibility criteria for applying is as follows:
Application deadline is April 1st.
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or its equivalent.
Enrollment as a full-time student (12 credits) in an accredited
Vermont A.D.N. or B.S.N. program with on-going verification of
successful progression.
Agreement to practice nursing in Vermont for two years upon graduation.
Obligations:
Scholars are expected to meet the terms of eligibility, including
employment in Vermont for two years following graduation. Scholars
must complete a baccalaureate degree or associate degree within
four years or two years respectively. The maximum potential award
for
the A.D.N. Scholar is $15,000 and the maximum potential award
for the B.S.N. Scholar is $30,000.
