Castleton State College has been designated by the Vermont State Colleges Board of Trustees as the lead institution in teacher preparation and professional development for K-12 educators. Through this program, Castleton State College will serve as a model for an active network of K-16 educators dedicated to learning about and teaching history.  Thus, this grant can have a significant impact throughout the entire state and serve as a model for improving the teaching of history statewide.
