The first time I stepped foot on the Castleton University campus, I felt as if I was already home.
Castleton family members—students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the University—greeted me with warm smiles and easy conversation, institutional pride tangible in their enthusiasm and connectedness.
Castleton University is a magical place, filled with warm and caring people and outstanding opportunities for partnership and growth. Our small University with a big heart is located at the base of the breathtaking Green Mountains, where you’ll experience the safety, authenticity, and beauty that Vermont offers. Here you can count on small classes, individualized attention, and open minds. As we gain global attention for our unique and holistic approach to higher education, we remain committed to innovation, shared governance, and diversity and inclusion.
Our Castleton family stands ready to make you feel at home, just as I did.
At Castleton University, students are encouraged to enhance their academic experience through service, clubs, athletics, and so much more. Students benefit from more than 400 partnerships for internships, community engagement, and research; participate in over 50 student clubs and organizations to explore their passions and cultivate deeper learning; and compete on 28 NCAA Division III teams that develop leadership, teamwork, and pride. A robust fine and performing arts program, free skiing and riding at Vermont’s best mountains, and engaging on-campus activities and off-campus excursions provide our students with the ultimate experience.
It is my honor and privilege to build on Dave Wolk’s legacy of growth, love, and gratitude, and to stand on the shoulders of the Castleton University presidents before me to lead this amazing institution into the future. I can’t wait to share my passion for experiential learning, strong partnerships, innovation and technology, program development and assessment, and, most importantly, student success.
