
The Criminal Justice Club:
The Castleton State College Criminal Justice Club consists of students in a wide variety of majors. We aim to expose students to the different professional opportunities within the Criminal Justice field and to provide as much relevant information as possible. We encourage anyone who is interested in Criminal Justice to join. The Criminal Justice club is fun, informational, and active throughout the school year.
What We Do:
The Criminal Justice Club plans several events each semester along with multiple field trip opportunities for its members. While activities vary based on current member's interests past activities have included:
Tours of different Correctional, Law Enforcement, and Court facilities.
Sponsoring Criminal Justice Day
Presentations by different Law Enforcement Agencies
Fundraising for local emergency services agencies

Jeremy Gibbons:
From Georgia, Vermont, Jeremy has been the club president for three consecutive terms. As a senior, he is pursuing a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. In addition to the Criminal Justice Club Jeremy also is a member of the College Court, a WIUV DJ, and a Student Orientation Staff Leader. He also works with Safe Ride and was chosen as an Emerging Leader for the class of 2007. Upon graduation in May Jeremy plans to become a Vermont municipal police officer.

Tasha Turner:
Tasha has served as the vice president since 2004 when the club was revamped after a short collapse. As a senior, Tasha is pursuing a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology as well as an A.S. in Criminal Justice. In addition to the Criminal Justice Club Tasha also participates in SafeRide, is a member of the Women's Issues Club, serves as the General Manager of WIUV, and is the Student Sergeant for Public Safety. Tasha aspires to be a criminal defense attorney and eventually a Supreme Court Justice.

Justin Brown:
Justin has served as the treasurer since October of 2005. Having chosen Castleton for its Psychology Program Justin, now a Senior, plans to graduate with a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology as well as an A.S. in Criminal Justice. In addition to the Criminal Justice Club Justin is a member of Psi Chi and Phi Eta Sigma. Upon Graduation in May Justin hopes to attend George Washington University and eventually pursue a career in research with The Library of Congress and the Congressional Research Service.

Joseph Wissler:
Joey Wissler has lived all over the United States and currently calls Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio home. A junior, Joey is pursuing a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish. In addition to the Criminal Justice Club Joey is also a member of the Cross Country team, is a Public Safety Officer, and was elected as an Emerging Leader for the class of 2008. Upon Graduation Joey plans to either enter into the US Air Force, or work in Federal Law Enforcement.

Jodi Strodel:
Originally from Hackettstown, New Jersey Jodi is pursuing a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology as well as an A.S. in Criminal Justice. Some of her other interests include: weight lifting, running, swimming, cycling, camping, hiking, movies and photography. After graduating this December Jodi plans to work with juveniles in the Department of Corrections and then plans to go on to graduate school to pursue her M.B.A.

Perri McPhee:
Having come to Castleton from Placitas, New Mexico for the Psychology program Perri is pursuing a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology as well as a B.A. in Criminal Justice. In addition to the Criminal Justice Club Perri is a member of the Support Your Troops club, coordinates the Mentoring Program for Rutland County Probation and Parole, and is a Public Safety Officer. After graduation Perri hopes to become an Agent with NCIS or the FBI and eventually work within the NCAVC.
