Digital Storytelling With iMovie & iPads is intended to provide educators with the skills necessary to use video storytelling to enhance student literacy, assessment and productivity. Digital Storytelling can take many forms such as flipped classrooms, video creation to deliver information to students, explanations or telling a traditional story. Video is a powerful tool for teaching and learning in both the hands of the teacher and the students. This course will give teachers the skills needed to create video using an iPad and iMovie to tell stories, deliver information and to use as an assessment tool.
You will receive an iPad on the first day of class. Note: iPad delivery can't be guaranteed for registrations received after April 24th.
This course is designed to meet the following goals:
1. To provide teachers with exposure and experience in using iPads and iMovie.
2. To assist teachers in creating engaging lessons using the iPad and digital storytelling as a classroom tool.
