Many faculty-student collaborative research projects were supported by funds from the Academic Deans' Office during the academic year. Dean Johnston and a committee of faculty reviewed the proposals and awarded grants to support 25 different projects spanning the disciplines.
The Castleton Scholars Celebration is a campus-wide showcase of students’ original work. It provides students with the opportunity to share their scholarly and creative endeavors with faculty, staff, and fellow students. This year, the event, which is co-sponsored by the Student Government Association, takes place on Thursday, April 27 from 5 -7:30 pm in the Campus Center. The deadline for proposals will be March 29.
Original work will be presented in various forms: capstone papers, senior theses, independent research, musical performances or compositions, scene designs, art installations or theatrical monologues. In addition to poster displays, students will share video productions, installations, or recorded performances.
