Theater Arts, `16
It was Castleton’s intimate campus size and one-on-one opportunities with professors that drew in Brandon, VT native Danielle McKeighan. Graduating in 2016 with a degree in Theater Arts, she enjoyed many experiences from her liberal arts education.
“I chose to study theatre because I love the idea of creating a world not just on paper, but actually building it up and seeing it come to life,” she said.
While at Castleton McKeighan had the opportunity to work backstage and paint showpieces, in addition to designing sets, which she mastered throughout her time in the Theatre department. After graduation McKeighan expanded her experiences by accepted a theatre internship in Pennsylvania.
“The bonds I have built with not only my fellow students, but the faculty as well, have helped me to grow as a person,” said McKeighan, “And because of that, I can never forget them.”
