A minimum cumulative grade point average of a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale is required in order to be considered for admission. Credit may be transferred for courses completed with a grade of “C–” or better at other accredited institutions if they fulfill Castleton requirements. Accepted students graduating from an accredited two-year college with an associate degree and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale can transfer credit for all applicable academic work up to 64 credits.

*Students transferring from other Vermont State Colleges (Community College of Vermont, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, Vermont Technical College) are exempt from the application fee.

Admission Deposit
To reserve your place, accepted students must remit a non-refundable deposit of $200 on or before May 1 for the fall semester and December 1 for the spring semester. After these dates, deposits will be accepted on a space-available basis. The deposit is credited toward the first semester’s bill.
