(February 14, 2008) - Two-time defending NAC champion Elms College was chosen by the softball coaches as the league’s top team entering the 2008 season in a preseason poll. The Blazers, who finished tied for second in the West Division but swept through the NAC Championship, return seven starters including first team all-conference selection first baseman Christina Giampetruzzi and NAC Tournament MVP pitcher/outfielder Tammie Tremblay. Elms received 9 first place votes and 115 points.
