Castleton loses final game of trip, 6-5 to Wentworth
Tampa, FL -The Castleton State College baseball team dropped a 6-5 nine-inning contest to Wentworth Institute of Technology. The Spartans fell behind 4-0 early, and could not recover, despite a three-run bottom of the seventh to cut the lead to one.
Craig Borgen took the loss as the freshman tossed five innings, allowing four runs (three earned) while striking out five. Ken Cook relieved Borgen, throwing four innings, allowing two runs (one earned) and striking out five.
Billy Bruneau was 3-5 with a pair of RBI to lead the Spartan offense. Kyle Brooks and Ryan Bouck each added a pair of hits for Castleton who falls to 4-4 on the season.
Castleton returns to the diamond on Sunday, March 25 when they travel to the Coast Guard Academy for a double-header beginning at 12:00 pm. [Box Score]
