| Personal Information: |
Coach Shipley grew up in Trumbull, Connecticut, and graduated from Johnstown High School in Johnstown, New York. He graduated from Lyndon State College with a BS in physical education in 1986 and an AS in Business Administration in 1987.
As a student-athlete at LSC, coach Shipley competed in three different sports all four years and was named Athlete of the Year in 1985.
Immediately after graduating coach Shipley taught physical education and coached at the Waynflete School in Portland, Maine for eight years.
Just prior to coming to Castleton he coached baseball and basketball at Vermont Technical College for 4 years. He earned a graduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of New Hampshire in 2001. He currently resides in Bomoseen, Vermont with wife, Michelle, and daughter, Olivia. |

Coach Kimbler is entering his third season as Associate Head Coach with the Spartans. Prior to coming to Castleton he was the head coach at Hartwick College for three seasons before the program was dropped.
Kimbler has an extensive background as both a player and coach. His professional playing career began June 4, 1990 when he was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 23rd round. His stint with the Tigers included an invite to their 1991 spring training, and four seasons in their minor league system. In 1995 Kimbler signed with the Chicago Cubs and was invited to spring training in 1996. He was a part of the Cubs organization for two season before calling it a career and entering into the coaching profession.
His collegiate coaching resume includes the aforementioned three-year stay at Hartwick along with three seasons as an assistant coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In 2002 Kimbler was part of the RPI staff that guided the Red Hawks to a berth in the NCAA World Series.
Kimbler currently resides in Albany, NY with wife Amy and sons Teige and D. William. |

| Coach Godlewski spent 11 years as head coach at Columbia-Greene Community College in Hudson, NY prior to joining Castleton's staff. Over those 11 years Godlewski compiled a 276-118 record, and led C-GCC to a pair of NJCAA World Series berths in 1996 and 1997. Coach's teams competed in 10 consecutive regional tournaments, advancing to the championship game 7 times. While at C-GCC, he was named ABCA and Rawlings Coach of the Year twice. Godlewski's program produced 3 players that were drafted by professional organizations, 13 all-americans, and 38 all-region players.
In addition to his work as a head coach, Godlewski has also served as associate scout for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He is also founder and president of the Belmont Baseball Club, which has produced 44 players that have played professional baseball.
A 1975 Cum-Laude graduate of Ithaca College with a bachelors degree in business administration, he began his collegiate career at the University of New Haven, before transferring to Ithaca, where he pitched a no-hitter in his first collegiate start.
Coach Godlewski has one son, Mike, a four-year standout at Skidmore College, who led the Thoroughbreds to their first-ever regional appearance in 2005 . |
