Castleton falls at Skidmore in bottom of the ninth

Saratoga Springs, NY-The Castleton State College baseball team held an 11-9 lead heading into the eighth inning, but Skidmore scored three unanswered runs to steal the win in the bottom of the ninth.

Garrett Bissonnette was 2-for-4 for Castleton, with a two-run double in the sixth that added to a six-run inning for the Spartans. Matthew Tuthill took the loss after coming in relief in the ninth.

Brad Polcare and Chris Ragis each collected two hits as Castleton falls to 6-12 on the season.

The Spartans return to action on Wednesday with a non-conference match-up at R.P.I.
