Castleton wins second-straight over Thomas

Phoenix, AZ-The Castleton State College baseball team won its second-consecutive game, 14-3 over Thomas College in a non-conference match-up at the Phoenix Invitational.

Brad Polcare was 4-for-5 with three RBI and four runs scored from the lead-off spot in the order to pace the Spartans. Polcare collected two triples in the game. Lauck Blake also tripled and was 2-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Chris Ragis had a pair of doubles and a single as the senior drove in three runs and scored one.

Billy Bruneau also collected three hits as Castleton pounded out 17 on the day.

Mathew Tuthill started and earned the win, allowing one earned run through five innings of work. The crafty lefty baffled the Terrier batters, striking out eight while walking none.
