Castleton loses for the first time in NAC play, 1-0 at Farmington

Farmington, ME-The Castleton State College field hockey team lost its first North Atlantic Conference game 1-0 at University of Maine at Farmington.

Castleton's Trisha Clark battled all day in goal, stopping eight shots to keep the Spartans close. Maine-Farmington's Andrea Taylor would convert an Alyssa St. Pierre assist into the game winning goal with just under four minutes remaining to give the Beavers the victory.

Kaleigh Barker made three stops in the win for 8-4 (6-1 NAC) UMF.

The loss drops Castleton into a tie with Farmington for second place overall in the conference at 6-1 (10-4 overall).

The team is back in action Saturday, October 20 when they play host to NAC-undefeated, Husson College at 1:00 pm. [Box Score]
