The men's basketball team has produced countless memories of great players, and even greater teams. The hall of fame team of 1984-85, is still revered as one of the most successful teams in Castleton history. In 2004 the team earned their first ever NCAA DIII national tournament bid. It was the first "at-large" bid to the NCAA tournament any Castleton team has ever received.
