Castleton Men's Hockey Archives

A club sport for many years prior, men's hockey was added as a varsity sport in the 2003-04 season. After one season as an independent, the Spartans joined the ECAC East, arguably the toughest division III conference in the country. In 2005-06 the team earned their first ever varsity win, and first ever ECAC East win.

End of the season: 11th. Joe Huchko named semifinalist for the Joe Concannon Award. Steve Culbertson and Huchko earn honorbale mention for USCHO all-star team. Travis Martell named to NEHWA All-Star team. Brandon Heck and Martell named to ECAC East All-Conference Secod Team. A league-best nine members were named to the ECAC East All-Academic Team.
