Brad Polcare (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga) has been named to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-New England First Team by a vote of the region's coaches.
Polcare, a North Atlantic Conference All-Conference First Team selection, led the Spartans with a .410 batting average, 64 hits, three homeruns, 10 triples, 57 runs scored and 42 runs batted in. The senior second baseman also led the team in slugging percentage, on base percentage, total bases, walks and stolen bases.
He was named the NAC Championship Most Valuable Player after going 10-for-13 in the championship round with two homeruns, one triple, two doubles, eight runs and eight RBI to lead the Spartans to their first-ever berth in the NCAA Tournament.
