(September 22, 2008) - Kate Bucci (Wakefield, RI/South Kingstown) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive week. Bucci helped the Spartans to a 9-0 win over Johnson State in their only match of the week.

The freshman dropped just one game in the match, winning #2 singles 6-1, 6-0 before teaming with Michelle Podnecky for an 8-0 win in #1 doubles.

Bucci is a perfect 6-0 in both #2 singles and #1 doubles to start her career.
