(September 29, 2008) - Kate Bucci (Wakefield, RI/South Kingstown) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week for the third-consecutive week. Bucci helped Castleton to a 7-2 win over Plymouth State in the Spartans' only match of the week.

The freshman won in #3 singles 6-1, 6-0 and teamed with classmate, Michelle Podnecky for a 9-7 win in #1 doubles.

Bucci is a perfect 7-0 in both singles and doubles to start her career.
