Castleton Alpine Skiing Archives

For many years Castleton's alpine ski teams were among the best in the northeast, and even the nation competing at the NCAA division I level. After dropping the program in the mid-1990's Castleton reinstated alpine skiing as a varsity sport for both men and women in 2004. Since being reinstated the Spartans have once again become one of the top teams in the region. Since 2006 the Spartans have collected a combined five division titles in the McBrine and Thompson Divisions of the ECSC.

Colleen Pruss, Amy Taylor, Carli Teats and Meghan Samolis were all named to the Women's USCSA All-McBrine Division Team . Justin Schwartz, Jeffrey Geigler, Corey Gray, Ryan Dunleavy, Ted Panasci and Evan Vomacka were all named to the Men's USCSA All-McBrine Division Team.
2007	Chris Eder	M-1st W-1st	M-Justin Schwartz W-Nicole Kondziela	Men's and Women's McBrine division champions. Undefeated in McBrine Competition Emma Harvey, Nicole Kondziela, Brenna Nolan, Heather Patterson, Colleen Pruss and Lindsey Wiken were all named to the Women's USCSA All-McBrine Division Team . Jeffrey Geigler, Corey Gray, Ted Panasci, Tim Rogers, Justin Schwartz, Greg Towle and Evan Vomacka were all named to the Men's USCSA All-McBrine Division Team.

Willie Colt earns All-Thompson Division, USCSA All-Eastern Regional and USCSA All-American honors. Justin Schwartz earns All-Thompson Division and USCSA All-American honors. Robert Moss earns USCSA Academic All-American. Greg Towle, Charles Robbins, and Corbin Daino earn Men's All-Thompson Division honors. Heather Patterson, Stephanie Kopko and Madalyn Kirbach earn Women's All-Thompson Division honors.
