| Castleton Earns Spot on IWLCA Academic List |
(August 18, 2008) - The Castleton State College women's lacrosse team was recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as an "Academic Squad" for achieving a team grade point average above 3.0. The IWLCA recognized 56 teams and 172 individuals in NCAA Division III women's lacrosse. (Full Article) |
| Castleton Receives ECAC New England Invitation |
(May 5, 2008) -
Cape Cod, MA - After finishing the regular- season with a 14-4 record, Bridgewater State College was selected as the number one seed in the 2008 ECAC Division III New England Women's Lacrosse Championship. The tournament is a seven-team field with quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds. Bridgewater State receives a bye into the semifinals via the number one seed. (Full Article) |

Castleton, VT-Nicole Adams scored four goals and dished out one assist as Castleton State College defeated Worcester State 12-6 in New England Women’s Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) semifinal action. (Full Article) |
| Five Spartans Named All-NEWLA, Landon C.O.Y. |
(April 30, 2008) - The New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance has announced its post-season honors. In a vote by the conference coaches, Bridgewater State sophomore midfielder Shannon Manning was named NEWLA Offensive Player of the Year. Manning led the conference in draw controls and caused turnovers and points during league play scoring 18 times with 29 assists. (Full Article) |
