Castleton bounces back with 5-4 win over Bay Path

Longmeadow, MA -After losing their conference opener the Spartans bounced back with a thirlling 5-4 win over conference foe, Bay Path College.

Castleton won the first three singles competitions with Jamie Olson (Rutland, VT/Rutland) won #1 singles 6-1, 6-2, Charla Klaas (Shickshinny, PA) won #2 singles 6-4, 6-1, and Lauren Kuenzel (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga) took #3 singles 6-4, 6-4. Olson and Klaas then combine to win #1 doubles 8-0 while Kuenzel and Emily Hallett (Medway, MA/Medway) combined to seal the victory in #2 doubles 8-3.

With the victory the Spartans improve to 2-3 (1-1 NAC) and are back in action when they play host to Johnson State College on Saturday, September 23 at 1:00 PM. [Complete Results]
