Castleton loses NAC opener 6-3 to Becker

Rutland, VT-After moving the match to Grand Slam Tennis in Rutland due to rain and wet courts, the Castleton State College women's tennis team dropped five out of six singles matches to lose its NAC opener 6-3 to Becker College.

Mary Kay Capone's 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) win in #4 singles was Castleton's lone win in singles competition.

Charla Klaas and Emily Hallet teamed up to win #2 doubles 8-6, and Capone and Courtney Gosselin took home #3 doubles 8-1.

The Spartans are back in action Wednesday, September 19 when they travel to Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts for a 4:00 pm match. [Results]
