Castleton downs Lyndon State 7-2

Castleton, VT-The Castleton State College women’s tennis team remained undefeated against non-conference opponents with a 7-2 win over visiting Lyndon State. With the win Castleton improves to 6-2.

Charla Klaas and Jamie Olson took home #1 and #2 singles matches before Kim Allen and Emily Hallett dropped a pair of three-set matches in #3 and #4. Meg Kuczynski-Sherwin and Ashley Whitehouse picked up the slack in the remaining two matches, winning #5 and #6 respectively.

Castleton once again swept doubles play as Olson teamed with Allen for an 8-1 win in #1 and Klaas and Hallett won #2 8-4. Courtney Gosselin and Kuczynski-Sherwin won in the #3 slot 8-2.

The Spartans are back in action on October 13 when they play host to Johnson State at 1:00 pm. [Results]
