Castleton defeats Lydnon State 8-1, gears up for NAC tournament

Lyndonville, VT-The Castleton State College women’s tennis team wrapped up its non-conference season with a perfect 7-0 record by defeating Lyndon State 8-1.

Castleton dominated play as Charla Klaas (#1), Kim Allen (#2), Mary Kay Capone (#4), Meg Kuczynski-Sherwin (#5) and Ashley Whitehouse (#6) all won in straight-sets.

In doubles action Klaas and Emily Hallett took down #1 8-1, while Kim Allen teamed with Courtney Gosselin to win #2 8-3. In #3 doubles, Kuczynski-Sherwin and Whitehouse won 8-2.

The Spartans will host the North Atlantic Conference Championships this Saturday and Sunday. The action gets underway on Saturday morning at 9:30 am. [Results]
