Castleton wins on the road, 8-1 over MCLA

North Adams, MA-The Castleton State College women's tennis team took home five out of six singles matches and all three doubles matches versus Massachusetts College to improve to 2-1 on the season.

Charla Klaas battled back from a 6-3 defeat in her opening set to win #1 singles 3-6, 6-0, 10-8. Jamie Olson and Kim Allen took home #2 and #3 singles matches while Meg Kuczynski-Sherwin and Ashley Whitehouse won #5 and #6

Olson and Allen teamed up for a 8-1 victory in #1 doubles, Klaas and Emily Hallett won #2 and Kuczynski-Sherwin and Whitehouse won #3.

The Spartans are on the road this weekend, taking on Johnson State in North Atlantic Conference action beginning at 1:00 pm Saturday. [Results]
