was selected the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Year in a vote by the conference coaches. In her first year in the conference, Nunez led the league in hitting percentage (.392), kills per game (4.40) and service aces per game (1.70). (Full Article)

Castleton Bows Out in Quarterfinal Round

(October 31, 2007) - The top-seeded Maine Maritime Academy NAC

women’s volleyball team defeated eight-seed Castleton State College 3-0 in a North Atlantic Conference Quarterfinal match. Amy Young led the way for the Lady Mariners, collecting 12 kills, nine assists, 13 digs and two aces. The win advances MMA to the NAC semifinal round which will be held at Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday. (Full Article)

Castleton Makes First Appearance in NAC Tournament

(October 26, 2007) - Seeding has been announced for the NAC

North Atlantic Conference Volleyball Championship will begin quartfinal play Wednesday, October 31. Top seed Maine Maritime (14-5 overall), tied with Husson atop the conference standings with a 7-1 mark, will host eighth seeded Castleton (2-15 overall, 1-7 NAC) in one quarterfinal. Husson (16-7 overall) will host seventh seed Bay Path (4-13 overall, 2-6 NAC). (Full Article)
