The Castleton University women's ice hockey program has once again teamed up with the Rutland Regional Medical Center for the 10th consecutive year to raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research with the annual "Pink the Rink" event to be held on Friday, January 26.
The event will take place when the Spartans host conference-rival Salve Regina at Spartan Arena on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. Throughout the rich history of the event, Castleton has helped raise well over $50,000 and looks to continue playing its part in the battle against cancer.
Castleton will gear up for the game wearing a special collectors'-edition pink jerseys, which is currently being sold via an online auction and can be found at the link below. The auction began on January 1 and will run through January 25 at 9 p.m., with all proceeds going to the Foley Cancer Centers' Breast Cancer Program at RRMC. Fans have the opportunity to bid on the game-worn jerseys or purchase a jersey outright for $250. Click the link below to begin the process now.
