The International Student Office has compiled a list of resources that are potentially useful to international students. This is by no means and complete list, but rather a starting point and should be used as such.
The Bus: Schedules and routes for The Bus, public transportation, between Castleton University and Rutland and other destinations in and around Rutland County.
Amtrak: Train schedules and fare information for train from Castleton to New York City and points beyond.
Cape Air: Flight schedule and fare information for daily trips between Rutland, Vermont, and Boston, Massachusetts.
Dartmouth Coach: Bus schedule and fare information for luxury coach from Dartmouth, New Hampshire to Boston, Massachusetts and New York City.
U.S. Department of State: For information about traveling anywhere in the world, including country travel advisories.
IRS: Internal Revenue Service - The U.S. government agency responsible for tax collection and tax law enforcement. Contains downloadable forms and instructions for filing income tax returns, including the 1040NR-EZ Form and Instructions.
SEVIS: Student Exchange and Visitor Program - A Part of the National Security Investigations Division and acts as a bridge for government organizations that have an interest in information on nonimmigrants whose primary reason for coming to the United States is to be students.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection: To obtain a copy of your Customs and Border Protection Form I-94 Arrival/Departure Record.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement: Information and forms related to F-1 non-immigrant status. Authority for CPT, OPT, F-1 reinstatements, on and off-campus employment, etc.
ECE: Educational Credential Evaluators - An organization that provides credential evaluation and advice to international students.
EDVTUSA: Education Vermont USA - Learn about both private and public universities and colleges, as well as apply for an annual scholarship.
IIE: Institute of International Education - An organization that manages scholarships, training, exchange and leadership programs around the world.
NAFSA: Association of International Educators - A membership organization dedicated to advancing international education.
WES: World Education Service - An organization that provides credential evaluation and advice to international students.
