10 Things To Do in the Campus Center
| What is in the Campus Center? The Welcome Desk in the lobby is staffed by friendly students ready and willing to help you. Information about campus activities is available here. Board games and game room equipment can be checked out and a campus phone is available for your use. Also in the lobby is an ATM machine which takes the following cards: Visa, Plus System, Master Card, Cirrus, Pulse, Star, Discover Novus, Honor, MAC, and American Express. The Informal Lounge is used by students as a place to study, sleep, or socialize. It can also be reserved for receptions and meetings. It is furnished with couches, comfortable furniture, and features a wood-framed fireplace and a mini art gallery. The Student Association is the student government at Castleton. The Executive Board, Student Senate, and College Court share this office space. All recognized student clubs can be reached through their mailboxes which are located here. Student Life Offices are where the Dean of Students, Assistant Dean for Campus Life, Residence Life, Career Services, Student Activities, and Campus Center Offices are located. The Game Room offers table tennis, foosball, pool tables, and table games available for Castleton students and guests. The Soundings Office is home to Castleton's unique lecture and performing arts series. All new students attend and get academic credit for events. The Formal Lounge is a conference room featuring comfortable seating for 30. Its walls are adorned with approximately 60 awards honoring over 250 students, staff, and faculty. The Copy Corner offers a wide range of printing services including a sorting copier, a high-speed Risograph copier, a PowerMac with color printer, and a high-resolution scanner. Banner and poster paper as well as markers and other publicity supplies are also available. The Fireside Cafe offers casual dining and a wide variety of snacks and grab-and-go items. Featuring Bene Pizza, Montagues Deli and Grill, gourmet coffee and much more. (ARAMARK Dining Services) The College Store is located in the ground level of the Campus Center. School supplies, candy, Castleton clothing, and other items are available for sale. The Mail Room offers every full-time matriculated student a mailbox on the bottom level of the Campus Center. You can buy stamps, mail letters, pick up and mail packages, and send packages via UPS. |
