Judith Carruthers joined the Castleton team March 1, 2000. Born in Montreal, Canada, Judith moved to Vermont in 1995. Judith brings over 18 years experience in Career Development, International Marketing & Networking to the position. Education / Professional Training include a BA in English Literature from Concordia University in 1983; Cum Laude & With Distinction; as well as an MA in English Literature/Stylistics from Carleton University in 1986. Experienced in both the Academic and Business world, some of the titles Judith has held are: Director of Career Development, Career Development Consultant, Industrial Training Consultant, Project Manager, Governmental Skills Development Liaison, Grant Writer, PR Specialist, Curriculum Coordinator, Communications Professor, International Marketing Consultant, Small Business Owner, Professional Cartoonist. Some of the key strengths Judith brings to her position here at Castleton are the ability to act as a liaison between Liberal Arts and technical fields and her vast network of business contacts. An active member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers and the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers, Judith is also a Certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Administrator, as well as an Administrator for Strong Interest Inventory and the new FOCUS II self-assessment software.
