Borrowing
VCAL borrowers are awarded "guest borrower" privileges
at Castleton. Guest borrowers may check out a maximum of 8 books
at a time, for a period of 3 weeks. CDs and audio cassettes
circulate for 1 week. Reference materials, periodicals, DVDs,
and videocassettes may not be checked out.
Returns
Items may be returned to the Castleton Library or to the borrower's
home institution library. If you return Castleton items to your
home institution library, please be sure to tell library staff
that the items belong to Castleton.
Renewals
Guest borrowers may renew an item once if it has not been requested
by another patron. Call (468-1256) to renew by phone.
Overdue Items
Overdue notices will be sent to borrowers, either electronically
or through regular mail.
Lost Items
Bills for replacement and processing of items that are not returned
will be sent to the borrower. If a borrower does not respond
appropriately, the borrower's home institution library will
be billed for the unreturned items.
