This syllabus is meant for students enrolled in the Statistics I course with the above teacher.
A scientific calculator is required for this course.

3. Probability: Random Variables, Probability Distributions
4. Two Statistical Models: Binomial Probability, Normal Probability
5. Normal Approximation to Binomial
6. From Probability to Inference
7. Introduction to Statistical Inference: Estimating with confidence, Tests of Significance
8. Linear regression and Correlation (if time permits)
Grading:
Quizzes 25% Midterm 20% Final Exam 20%
Workshops 25% Assignments 10%
Quizzes may or may not be announced ahead of time. Tests will be taken on the date indicated (days announced in class) and No Makeup will be given unless previous arrangements are made. Reading material and problems shall be assigned in class. The problems provide valuable practice for the quizzes and tests.

Class time is important. You are expected to attend every class. Class time will be used for explanation, workshops, examples, midterm exam, quizzes, questions and exploration.
