Castleton Adjunct Professor of English, Gregory Supernovich, recently released his first book, Atlantic Lovesong, a modern New England romance novel.
Taking readers on a journey of love across the coasts of Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, the novel follows the budding relationship of a new couple working to bridge the cultural and religious differences required in a successful “mixed” relationship.
The pair navigates the joyous and perilous paths of romance, while finding strength in their ties to the natural world.
“I’ve always been moved by powerful love stories,” said Supernovich, “The youthful energy, the passion, the drama.”
As a former objective newspaper reporter, Supernovich used his ten-year, romance book writing experience as a chance to better explore human emotions. He believes readers will enjoy and relate to the empathy and caring of the characters, the beauty of the New England coast and the way that nature nourishes love throughout the novel.
“Some would say the most important things in life are fame, money and success. I would have to say love – to love, and to be loved,” he said.
In addition to the recent release of Atlantic Lovesong, Supernovich’s short story, By the Monongahela was published in Potato Eyes and his journalistic articles have appeared in the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, EPA Journal, Tufts Criterion, and MetroWest Daily News.
