Link to PublicationDr. Palmer's BioProfessor David Blow had a feature story published in the February edition of Adirondack Life magazine about a Lake George, New York family business called StoriedBoards, which dismantles old barns, reclaims and sells the wood - and provides buyers with a coffee table-type book detailing the history of the barn and its former owners. Professor Blow learned of the business when the owners answered his Craigslist ad to buy his old oil furnace. He asked what they planned to do with the furnace and they told him it would be used to heat their kiln that kills off any bugs in the old wood before they sell it. He loved the story, chose to pursue it and a former colleague now serving as an editor for the magazine liked the idea.
