This course provides world language teachers with a deeper understanding of high-leverage teaching practices for effective proficiency-based world language instruction, specifically as these practices relate to adolescent learners. Participants in this course will grow their understanding of how world language fits into their own vision of education, and how to apply specific curriculum design and instructional strategies to align their teaching practice with that vision. Teachers working in Spanish, French, and/or Mandarin Chinese will have the opportunity to receive direct feedback on their curriculum materials and/or instruction.
Audience: Middle and high school world language teachers, especially those in the first five years of their career in education.

Participants will be able to leverage specific, time-tested instructional strategies to achieve their goals as world language teachers.
