Please join us for registration!
As a parent, spouse, or family member of a new Castleton student, we invite you to join us for the Family Program during Registration. We believe you play a vital role in your new student’s success, and we have activities planned to introduce you to Castleton.
You will meet key Castleton staff as well as other Castleton families. You will also receive useful resource materials to help you — and your new student — make this important transition in the life of your family.
Registration is an important program and students are expected to attend the duration. If you plan to join your student, please have your student register for you (this information is a required section on their registration sign-up form). For two-day summer events, they will need to also submit payment for your selected meals and accommodations. There is no cost for the student.
During Registration families and students follow different, but overlapping, schedules. This allows you plenty of time to check-in with your new student, while allowing them the freedom to start meeting new friends and making decisions as a first-year university student.
For June and July family attendees: Please complete Family Sign Up in order for us to prepare for your visit. Siblings and extended family members are welcome to attend, but please note that no specific programs for young children are planned. Meals are available and can be paid for on your family sign up: Friday BBQ $14, Saturday Breakfast $6 & Lunch $12. Campus accommodations for Friday evening are available and can be reserved and paid on your family sign up: $75 for a single or double room. There are no charges for your new Castleton student.
For August family attendees: When your student signs up for the event, please have your student register the number of family members that will be in attendance in order for us to prepare for your visit. If you need overnight accommodations, there are several area hotels to select from.
Siblings and extended family members are welcome to attend, but please note that no specific programs for young children are planned.
