This year, Castleton University and the Vermont State Colleges are providing millions of dollars in scholarships, free tuition programs, and other financial aid opportunities for Vermont students.
Thanks to generous funding from the State of Vermont, Castleton is proud to be part of the following programs:
Welcome Home Scholarship: Provides up to $5,000 for Vermonters transferring to Castleton from an out-of-state college or university, or those who might be returning to school after leaving college between March 1, 2020, and May 1, 2021.
Degree Completion Scholarship: Provides free tuition for up to 30 credits for Vermonters who have been out of school for at least two years and have completed at least 40 college credits. This scholarship covers last dollar tuition, meaning it covers costs after state and federal financial aid has been applied.
Free Tuition: Provides one year of free tuition to Vermonters enrolled in a variety of Critical Occupation programs during the 2021-22 academic year. At Castleton, those programs including Early Childhood & Special Education and Nursing (BSN). This scholarship covers last dollar tuition, meaning it covers costs after state and federal financial aid has been applied.
Green Mountain Grad: Provides one tuition-free course at Castleton for all 2020 and 2021 high school or equivalent graduates, provided by VSAC. You can take one class as a non-matriculated student or apply the free course to your degree program. Learn more at vsac.org/grad.
