The Gift of Life Marathon will kick off its annual 12 Days of Giving at President Dave Wolk’s home. The blood drive will have the feel of a family party, block party and blood drive wrapped into one and just like last year, Wolk will personally provide free rides to anyone who needs one, which can be arranged by calling (802) 468-1203.
“Our family room will be the waiting room, the porch will host the collection, and the dining room will serve as the canteen,” Wolk said. “The Castleton University community will roll up its sleeves, literally and figuratively, to get the 12 Days of Giving off to a great start, and we welcome everyone to join us.”
Appointments can be made by:
Castleton's Student Government Association will also be collecting winter coats, boots, and snowpants as well as non-perishable food items for those in need as part of a campus-wide Giving Tuesday effort.
For more information please call 1-800-RED-CROSS, or visit the Gift of Life Marathon's website.
The Castleton University Student Government Association is proud to sponsor the student clubs and organizations contest in conjunction with #GivingTuesday. The groups are challenging each other to see which group can best showcase the giving spirit on campus. Each group will receive points for donating and volunteering throughout the day. At the end of the day, the points will be tabulated and the clubs will receive monetary rewards towards their budget for finishing among the top three on campus!
