Food, Clothing, & Toiletry Drive

The Student Government Association has organized a non-perishable food, toiletry, and cold weather clothing drive to benefit community organizations, including Rutland County Parent-Child Center. Castleton athletics will be collecting hats, gloves, and scarves to donate to a local shelter.

SGA Food and Clothing Drive

Students are encouraged to bring items back with them from Thanksgiving break to donate. Items that are most in need are:

  • Canned Goods*
    • Soups, Tuna, Canned Pasta Sauce, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Cereals, Microwavable Mac n'Cheese, Spaghettios, etc. 
  • Holiday-Type Foods*
    • Stuffing Mixes
    • Canned vegetables
    • Canned Fruits
  • Diapers
  • Feminine Products
  • Baby items (formula, etc.)
  • Sample/Travel Sized Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, and Toiletries
  • Toilet Paper
  • Laundry Detergent
  • First Aid Supplies
  • Can Openers
  • Cleaning Wipes (Clorox/Lysol Wipes)
  • Tissues

Cannot Accept:

  • Medicines
  • Health Supplements

 *Food items must not be expired.

Donations can be given in the name of an SGA associated club or a specific class. Because of the critically low stocks at food shelves, donations will be collected in the Campus Center and Glenbrook Gymnasium from Tuesday, November 27 through Friday, November 30, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Athletics Cold Weather Accessories Drive

Castleton's student-athletes will be collecting hats, scarves, and gloves/mittens in Glenbrook Gymnasium from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27.
