Participants will learn to create a strong yet relaxed physical foundation by practicing classical yoga poses which emphasize proper alignment. It is appropriate for any age and also for any level of fitness. Each pose is performed individually using props – blocks, belts, blankets, bolsters – to help achieve a healthy alignment and to allow participants to explore yoga poses deeply. The focus in this class is moving from the core to develop more freedom of movement, as well as to cultivate a lighter and more fluid sense in the body.
Cost is $2 for Castleton students and employees, and $5 for community members (per class).
