Also a short drive from campus is flourishing Downtown Rutland. Downtown Rutland provides visitors and residents alike with a rich mix of entertainment, shopping and dining in all seasons. With a fresh mixture of galleries, museums, and a year round farmers market, the downtown area offers an intriguing assortment of events throughout the year.
During the winter months Killington Mountain and Ski Resort and Pico Mountain Ski Area serve as the areas main snow covered attractions. Home to the best skiing and snowboarding in New England, they offering optimum winter sport trails, an outdoor tubing park, snowshoeing tracks, sleigh rides, and more. In the warmer months both locations similarly feature various hiking trails and other outdoor opportunities.
Ideal for those in search of more extravagant entertainment, larger cities, such as Burlington, Boston, Montréal and New York are also just a few hours from campus and easily accessible by bus or train.
