How to Register
Print out a non-matriculated student registration form
Complete the form and fill in the course information as in this example:
Bring, mail, or fax your completed registration form to the Financial & Registration Services office, located downstairs on the first floor of Woodruff Hall. Payment in full is due at the time of registration. Castleton can accept cash, checks and money orders in the Financial & Registration Services office. Online payments may be made with credit and debit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express), or with your bank checking/savings account.
Non-matriculated students must wait until after the matriculated student registration period ends before they can register. Those auditing courses must go to the first class meeting and have the professor sign the registration form.
To Find Course Listings Online
At the bottom of any Castleton webpage, click on the Resources link. From the Resources page, click the Course Listings link. On the course search page, choose from the Select Term drop menu the school and term you would like (all of the Vermont State Colleges are included in this list). Choose the subject you are looking for, and click the blue Search button at the bottom of the page. This will bring up all course offerings in that subject. When your search results come up, clicking the course number link (ie: ART-1010-C01) will take you to the course description. Read the description carefully; it will indicate if professor permission is required, if there are any prerequisite courses, and if there are any additional course fees. If instructor permission is indicated, you will need to obtain consent from the professor, either in an email, or by the professor’s signature on your registration form, before we can register you for the class.
