Information Literacy Tutorial

This tutorial provides an overview of the knowledge and skills needed for success in finding, evaluating, and using information in academic and professional situations. Go through the tutorial slowly and carefully, preferably in several sittings. Attention to details of the tutorial will help you become a better student and researcher, and it will almost certainly improve your score on the Online Information Literacy Assessment. If there are sections that you don't understand, or sections about which you would like further discussion, please ask a professor or a reference librarian.

All students should plan to complete the tutorial before taking the Online Information Literacy Assessment.
