The Castleton Alumni Association Board of Directors is hard at work planning the annual Alumni Association Gala for alumni, community members and friends of the University this spring. Scheduled for Saturday, June 23, from 6-10 pm at the Castleton Pavilion, the event will feature an evening of entertainment, dining, dancing and live music provided by local Rutland region band, the Aaron Audet Band.
“Each year the gala continues to grow in size,” said Alumni Association Board of Directors President Ceil Hunt. “Those in attendance reminisced with classmates, met some new alumni and friends of the University, and spent the night singing and dancing to local music, all while helping to support our current students.”
The gala will also include a silent auction with proceeds to benefit the Association’s Scholarship and Activities Funds. The Scholarship and Activities Funds support events for students on campus, including the Freshman Welcome and Senior Class Social, as well as fund annual scholarships for up to two Castleton University students each year.
Gala tickets are available for purchase at $50 per person and include hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dancing. Guests are asked to register by Monday, June 4, 2018, as no tickets will be sold at the door. Special discounted room rates are offered to alumni and friends wishing to stay overnight.
