Castleton Hosts Homecoming & Family Weekend September 9-11
Castleton University will welcome alumni, families, and community members for its annual Homecoming & Family Weekend celebration. Beginning Friday, Sept. 9, and continuing through Sunday, Sept. 11, the weekend will be filled with events and activities for Spartans of all ages.
Homecoming weekend kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday when men’s soccer takes on East Nazareen at Dave Wolk Stadium.
Saturday’s activities include the Castleton Alumni Association’s annual meeting, Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony, brunch, and women’s tennis and field hockey games at Dave Wolk Stadium. The Castleton football team will take on Fitchburg State at 2 p.m. Prior to the game, guests are welcomed to participate in tailgating activities, the Family Fun Zone, and arts & crafts for all ages at the Castleton Pavilion, adjacent to Dave Wolk Stadium.
This year’s festivities mark President Parwinder Grewal’s first Homecoming and Family Weekend at Castleton University! To celebrate, the President will host a Meet and Greet on Saturday to connect with students, parents, alumni, families, community members, and other attendees.
The weekend will conclude on Sunday with athletic alumni games and the annual Baseball Team Golf Tournament at the Lake St. Catherine Country Club.
