Carrie Savage recently joined Castleton University as alumni relations coordinator.
In her new position, Savage will be responsible for engaging alumni and friends of the University, coordinating the annual giving program, and assisting with signature Castleton events such as the annual Gala and Castleton Golf Classic.
Savage previously held a development and alumni relations at Mount St. Joseph Academy, and also served as international student coordinator. In that position, she was responsible for maintaining the high school’s database, developing regular alumni communications, and organizing fundraising events. In her role as international student coordinator, she was responsible for recruiting and maintaining a body of qualified students from a range of diverse backgrounds.
Savage holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Norwich University.
"I'm excited to join the extremely talented family of staff at the University and for the opportunity to work with the diverse network of Castleton alumni in supporting the school's programs for future graduates,” Savage said.
As alumni relations coordinator, she will be working alongside Director of Development and Alumni Affairs Courtney Widli ’13 and Data Specialist Liz Garside ’04.
“Carrie joins our team with a wealth of development knowledge that will not only help us strengthen our alumni connections but continue to elevate our fundraising efforts on behalf of our students and the entire University community,” Widli said. “Our development team looks forward to continuing to celebrate Spartan pride both near and far.”
Savage currently resides in Rutland with her husband, Jesse, and the youngest two of their four children. The pair own a successful blacksmith business and teach blacksmithing classes.
