Live music returns to Castleton this week with performances by the University’s music ensembles.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced Castleton’s music students off the stage and onto Zoom, performing concerts virtually last year. Many students, like senior Music major Toby Duke, missed the personal element that comes with preparing for a performance.
“As a senior, I remember what it’s like to participate in ensembles prior to COVID. It’s nice to rehearse normally and work together in-person and watch the production come together,” he said.
Senior Music Education major Alyssa Winckler is also looking forward to the return of live performances.
“It’s going to be great to be back in person, to be back on stage and see an audience and put on a good show for everybody,” she said.
