Castleton University welcomes all alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and community members to its annual Homecoming and Family Weekend. This year’s event will run from Friday, Oct. 11 to Sunday, Oct. 13, and guests of all ages are invited to enjoy a weekend full of activities and events, including athletic events, a theater production, library mini golf, family fun zone, and food trucks.
Homecoming Weekend kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday with a pumpkin carving contest for students, a basket raffle to benefit the Student Nurses Association, an athletics alumni reception, the annual Men’s Lacrosse Doug Mackenzie Alumni Game, Hypnotist Eric Mina, and more.
On Saturday, the Castleton Football team will take on Gallaudet University at 12 p.m. Prior to the game, guests are welcome to participate in tailgating activities, a free concert by the up-and-coming band Broseph, and arts and crafts for all ages at the Castleton Pavilion, adjacent to Dave Wolk Stadium.
Other events throughout the day include the Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, therapy dogs in the Campus Center, and the Castleton Scholars Celebration.
The weekend will conclude on Sunday with a Women’s Rugby game against Molloy, a matinee of the student-directed production “Constellations,” and the annual Baseball team golf fundraiser.
