The Castleton University Music Department hosts four concerts from Dec. 4 through Dec. 10 in the Fine Art Center’s Casella Theater. The concert series kicks off with the Castleton University String Orchestra, followed by the Chorale and Chamber Singers, Jazz Ensemble, and the Wind Ensemble performance. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and can be purchased at the Castleton University Box Office, located within the Fine Arts Center, or by calling (802) 468-1119.

Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, 7 p.m.
The Castleton University String Orchestra will present "A Holiday Festival." The performance features Leroy Anderson's perennially popular "A Christmas Festival" and other festive and celebratory works from Mozart, Gliere, and others.
Castleton University Chorale and Chamber Singers
Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, 7 p.m.
The Castleton University Chorale and Chamber Singers present a festive concert featuring the choral music from Argentina. The performance includes “Songs of Faith and Love” by Gwyneth Walker with brass quintet and organ, as well as with songs and dances from Africa. This performance is directed by Dr. Sherrill Blodget.
Castleton University Jazz Ensemble
Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, 2 p.m. The Castleton University Jazz Ensemble performs a collection of Jazz through the years, from swing to funk. This performance is directed by Michael Craner.
Castleton University Wind Ensemble
Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, 7 p.m.
The Castleton University Wind Ensemble will present its program titled "Realms,” featuring contemporary works that about fictional worlds, expanding the imagination, and traveling to places we could not think possible. This includes Elements" by Brian Balmages, "Sleep" by Eric Whitacre, "and then the Universe exploded" by Olivia Kieffer, and more.
